BEFORE THE STORM By Robert Taylor - SPECIAL FRAMED PIECE
One of Robert Taylor's rarest Editions, 'Before the Storm' was published as a companion print to his 2003 release 'DUEL IN THE DARK' as one of the 'Trilogy Proofs'. There were only 100 signed and numbered Prints.
This wonderful Pencil Print features the Me110G of Oberleutnant Martin DREWES, Gruppenkommandeur of III/NJG1, as he prepares to make an attack on a formation of RAF heavy Bombers as they penetrate deep into occupied Europe, March 1944. It was during this month that Bomber Command suffered it's worst losses of the war on the ill-fated attack on Nuremburg 30-31st March 1944.
The Me110G was flown by almost every top Luftwaffe nightfighter Ace. The Top Ace at night - Heinz-Wolfgang Schnaufer - scored all of his 121 nights victories with the Me110.
The Print is Signed by Artist Robert Taylor and
