LUDWIG BAUER - KNIGHTS CROSS - Signed Card
Ludwig Bauer served with Panzer Regiment 33 "prinz Eugen", part of the 9th Panzer Division. Bauer saw action during 'Operation Barbarossa' and the subsequent advance to the gates of Moscow, where he is wounded. Returning to his Unit, Bauer then fought during the Battle of Voronetz before transferring to the Western Front in 1944 to confront the Allied Invasion.
Bauer also took part in the Ardennes Offensive in a StuG III as part of his Division's effort to reach the stranded 2nd Panzer Division. He later re-equipped with the much more formidable Panther tank, where he tried to stem the Allied advance in 1945. Bauer was forced to escape his burning Panther - the 9th time he had to abandon a tank in action.
This is a very nice signed Card
