Oberst Gordon Gollob - Knights Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords & Diamonds
Gollob served initially with ZG76 and scored his first victories with the Bf110C destroyer. He transferred to Bf109E's with JG3 and fought in the Battle of Britain. He later took part in Operation Barbarossa where his victories began to pile up. Serving with Jg54 and later as Kommodore of JG77, Gollob became the first pilot to claim 150 victories. He was then taken out of the front line.
He served in several staff positions before replacing Galland as General of Fighters in January 1945.
Gollob scored 150 victories and survived the war. He died in 1987.
