The fourth release in Nick's Air Combat Legends series of matted Limited Editions features one of the Luftwaffe's grea fighter leaders, Hannes Trautloft.

Trautloft scored his first air victory during the Spanish Civil War in 1936 before returning to Germany to join the National acrobatic Team flying the Me109. Soon after the outbreak of war he took command of1./JG20, During the Battle of Britain he flew with JG54 'Green Hearts' and was subsequently promoted to Kommodore. He continued to lead the Unit in Russia, where JG54 took part in heavy fighting first with the Me109 but later with the Fw190A. In the Summer of 1943 Trautloft joined General Galland's staff. He was later dismissed by Goring for being a 'mutineer' thus ending an illustrious career comprising the award of the Knights Cross, 550 missions and 57 Victories.

Nick has depicted Trautloft's Fw190A in combat with Soviet Petlyakov Pe2's in 1943 over a harsh Russian snowscape.
